S.O.S. Ukraine

About Us

S.O.S. Ukraine is an all-volunteer-run, registered Canadian charity initially founded in 1993.

We provide needy families with the essentials of life – food, clothing, hygiene items, shelter, and medicines. Priorities are single mothers with small children, the elderly, and disabled.

We also supply life-saving first aid and medicine to the injured and to front line medics. We’ve helped eight brigades throughout eastern Ukraine with first aid.

Our overseas volunteers are vetted, committed individuals who ensure that your donations reach those in greatest need.

We rely on donations from caring, like-minded individuals who care for their fellow man in their darkest hours.

Testimonials

Thanks from our recipients!

“V and N R are sincerely grateful to S.O.S. Ukraine for the financial assistance provided. This was very important for us when we lost all our property in Mariupol due to Russian full-scale invasion.” – V. R.

C. M. donated $100! “Thank you for being there for Ukrainian people who are so much in need. We are truly blessed to have people like you to stand up and fight for basic human rights.”

“Accept a thank you from me and my family too! On February 24, I and a 7-month-old son, a cat and a husband left Mariupol. Our Left Bank district was immediately heavily shelling. Your financial help has enabled us to purchase essential items such as baby mattress, bedding, towels and more. Which are inconspicuous in ordinary life and turned out to be so necessary in rented housing. Also baby on artificial feeding, and they are very expensive.” – E.D.

D.E. donated $150! “Thanks for your compassion for the Ukrainian people in these horrible times.”

“My family of five sincerely thank you for the aid that helped us to survive the first months after leaving Mariupol. We left with one travel bag on everyone. So your help was greatly appreciated and allowed us to buy hygiene items, food, and do medical checkups for the children.” – O.Z.

K. and G. P. donated $50! “Your work is so vital, especially in these unprecedented, heartbreaking times in Ukraine.”

“When we heard the first explosions, my daughter was hysterical. I couldn’t calm her. We left with my disabled mother. I can’t work with a baby. I couldn’t believe people so far away & don’t know us could help. It’s important to know someone cares & strangers are ready to provide support. THANK YOU.” – N.S.

J.D. donated $200! “Thank you for your volunteer efforts to make a difference for Ukrainians caught in this unimaginable war in 2022.”

“Me and my two-year-old daughter say a very big thank you. When we were in a difficult situation, you helped. Our grandmother’s house, where we lived, where almost all our belongings were, is no longer there. The help you did for us, I won’t stop thanking you.” - Y. Z.

M. P. donated $100! “Thank you for the difference you are making to the suffering people of Ukraine.”
